Farhang Eyvazi, a Kurdish environmental activist from Tangisar village, Sanandaj, has spent the last 100 days in prison without leave, as his mother's condition is alarming and his presence as a guardian and breadwinner in the family is necessary.

According to the report received by the Hengaw organization for human rights, Farhang Eyvazi, a Kurdish environmental activist, is imprisoned without being granted leave and is in a situation where his mother urgently needs to go to medical centers. He is spending the fourth month of his imprisonment in Sanandaj Central Prison.

According to informed sources, after the death of his father, 30-year-old Farhang Eyvazi is taking care of his elderly mother, who is in poor condition due to illness these days. However
The Iranian security institutions have so far prevented this Kurdish environmental activist from being sent on leave.

In the summer of 2022, Farhang Eyvazi was sentenced to 5 years in prison by the 1st branch of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Sanandaj, headed by Judge Saeedi, on the charge of "membership and cooperation with the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran."

Farhang Eyvazi was arrested at his home by the Iranian Intelligence Force on Sunday, December 12, 2022. He was later released on Saturday, January 23, 2023, after 42 days of detention. He was temporarily released with a bail of 250 million tomans (6,000 USD) from the detention center of the Iranian Intelligence Department in Sanandaj until the completion of the proceedings.
