Since their detention by Iranian authorities, the fate of Amir Ramezani, Maziar Salimi, and Nasir Salimi, three citizens from the village of Changur in Eslamabad-e Gharb, is unknown.
The Iranian government forces reportedly stormed Amir Ramezani's home on the morning of February 15, 2023, using several vehicles and an ambulance, and abducted this individual, according to a report sent to the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights. In this assault, Mr. Ramezani was not even permitted to wear his clothes.
Nasir Salimi was arrested while working on February 14. This individual was taken to his shop by government forces, who pretended to be customers in need of an oil change before they severely assaulted him and then kidnapped him.
Also, on February 13, Maziar Salimi was abducted by the government forces on the Nahavand highway in Eslamabad-e Gharb city and taken to an unknown place.
Until the time of writing this news, the follow-up efforts by the families and relatives of these citizens have been fruitless, and information about their fate and whereabouts has not been made available by authorities.
According to statistics gathered by Hengaw's Statistics and Documents Center, since the beginning of Jina's Revolution, more than 7,500 people have been detained in Kurdistan by Iranian authorities. Only the identities of 2,150 cases have been verified by Hengaw.
