Arrest and ignorance of the fate of Dr. Bakhtiar Mohammadzadeh in Ilam

Dr. Bakhtiar Mohammadzadeh from Darehshahr was arrested by Ilam Intelligence Department about 50 days ago, and so far no information about his fate and whereabouts is available.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Dr. Bakhtiar Mohammadzadeh was summoned to the Ilam Intelligence department in March and was arrested then.

According to an informed source, Mr. Mohammadzadeh was the manager of a pharmacy in Darehshahr, Ilam province, and was employed there before his arrest.

So far, no information is available about the reasons for this citizen's arrest. He has been deprived of access to basic rights, including family visits and access to a lawyer during the detention, and his family's follow-up in this regard has been fruitless.
