The Iranian border regiment forced in the Hengejal Border region in Baneh ran over a Kurdish Kolber named Muhammad Latif Ahmadpour with a government vehicle. He lost his life after four days of hospitalization in Saqqez Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, April 23, 2023, Mohammad Latif Ahmedpour, Kolber from Baneh, who was run over by a vehicle belonging to the Iranian border regiment, and was hospitalized in Shafa hospital in Saqqs died due to his severe injuries.
Hengaw has been informed that on Thursday, April 20, 2023, following the blockade of Kolbers by the Iranian border regiment forces in Hengejal blocking Kolberi, this Kolber alongside a group of other Kolbers was run over by a vehicle belonging to these forces while returning to the city.
According to an informed source, the vehicle of these forces was moving by the group of Kolbers when one of the Iranian forces put his hand on the back of Mohammad Latif Ahmadpour's neck through the car’s window, and after dragging him for several meters, he lost his balance with the tires he was forced under the back tires of the car.
According to the sources close to Ahmadpour's family, as a result of this deliberate action by the Iranian Border Regiment forces, Mohammad Latif Ahmadpour's neck and shoulders were broken in several places and he was taken to Shafa Hospital in Saqqez, and finally, after days of hospitalizations, this Kolber lost his life.
This source added that Kamal Khidir, the governor of Baneh, contacted the family of this Kolber who was killed by the Iranian government forces and warned them that they should bury the body at midnight without informing the public.
Hengaw has been informed that Shafa Hospital has also refused to hand over the body and has informed the family of this Kolber that they will not hand over the body until the evening of Saturday, April 22, 2023.
Mohammad Latif Ahmedpour, a Kolber from Baneh, 36 years old, was married and the father of one child.
