Hengaw has confirmed the identities of two teachers detained in Sanandaj

During a rally that took place on May 9th by the teachers of Sanandaj, Farzad Safikhanpour and Fateh Osmani were forcibly apprehended and brutally beaten by the Iranian authorities and taken to an undisclosed location.
According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for human rights, Farzad Safikhanpour, a social science teacher at Shahriar Namaki Academy of Art University, and Fateh Osmani, a retired elementary school teacher, were detained by the government authorities on May 9th, 2023, in Sanandaj. Farzad Safikhanpour and Fateh Osmani were brutally beaten and taken into custody by authorities.
As of this moment, the custodial status, whereabouts, and detention conditions of these teachers are unknown.
