Morteza Davari and Akbar Davari, two brothers from Kuhdasht, Lorestan province, were arrested during the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" (Women, Life, Freedom) uprisings and have been imprisoned in Karaj' Ghezel Hesar prison for nearly 8 months.
 

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Morteza Davari and Akbar Davari, brothers from Kuhdasht City and residents of Fardis City, Tehran province, are spending the eighth month of their detention in Ghezel ‌‌Hesar prison in Karaj.

On September 21, 2022, Morteza Davari, 28 years old, and Akbar Davari, 26 years old, were arrested by government forces during the protests in Fardis City and taken to the central penitentiary of this city.


These two brothers have been denied access to a lawyer for the past 8 months, and the news of their arrest has not been reported in any media so far.
