Eight civil and labor activists have been forcibly disappeared by Iranian authorities in Sanandaj

Kamal Karimi, Shadman Abdi, Abdullah Kheirabadi, Sirwan Mahmoudi, Eqbal Pishkari, Hajar Saeedi, Khabat Mahmoudi, and Habibullah Karimi all Civil and labor activists have been forcibly detained by intelligence forces in Sanandaj. 


According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Wednesday, May 17, 2023, the following eight civil and labor activists from Sanandaj, Kamal Karimi, Shadman Abdi, Abdullah Kheirabadi, Sirwan Mahmoudi, Eqbal Pishkari, Hajar Saeedi, Khabat Mahmoudi, and Habibullah Karimi were brutally detained using force and violence by the Intelligence forces in Sanandaj.


This force has brutally taken all eight citizens into custody using violence while raiding the residency of the Father of Hooman Abdollahi, one of the victims of the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" (Woman, Life, Freedom) uprisings in Sanandaj.

The source further noted that the Intelligence forces have brutally beaten Farshid Abdollahi the Father of Hooman Abdollahi. 


The exact reason for the detention of Kamal Karimi, Shadman Abdi, Abdullah Kheirabadi, Sirwan Mahmoudi, Eqbal Pishkari, Hajar Saeedi, Khabat Mahmoudi, and Habibullah Karimi, as well as their custodial status and whereabouts, remain unknown.
