Another labor activist arrested in Sanandaj

Following the wave of arrests of civil and labor activists in the city of Sanandaj, Iqbal Shabani, a Kurdish labor activist, was arrested by the Iranian government forces and transferred to an unknown location.
 
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Friday, May 19, 2023, Iqbal Shabani, a renewed Kurdish labor activist from Sanandaj, was arrested by the forces of the Iranian Intelligence in this city.
 
So far, there is no precise information about the reasons for the arrest, the charges, the fate, and the whereabouts of this Kurdish labor activist.

Iqbal Shabani has been arrested and interrogated for a month by the forces of Iranian Intelligence in Sanandaj for his activities.
 
His arrest follows the arrest of at least 9 other labor activists by the Iranian government forces in Sanandaj since last week.
