Mohammad Ebrahimkia and Arkan Ahmadi arrested by security forces

Intelligence Department forces arrested Mohammad Ebrahimkia from Oshnavieh and Arkan Ahmadi from Marivan, two Kurdish men, and transferred them to undisclosed locations.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ebrahimkia was arrested by Intelligence Department forces in Oshnavieh on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Meanwhile, Intelligence Department forces raided Ahmadi’s family home in Marivan and arrested him on Tuesday, September 1. Ahmadi is from the village of Hangeh Zhal and resides in Marivan.

Informed sources reported that both men were arrested using violence and without presenting warrants.

Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for their arrests, the charges against them, their health conditions, or their places of detention. Their families’ efforts to obtain information have so far been unsuccessful.
