Heja Omidi was forcibly disappeared in Malkshahi by Iranian authorities

Heja Omidi, a prominent cultural activist hailing from Malkshahi County in Ilam Province, has been forcibly taken to an undisclosed location by government forces. He was also previously arrested during the" Jin, Jiyan, and Azadî" (Woman, Life, Freedom) revolutionary movement.
 

According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for human rights, Heja Omidi, a 35-year-old cultural activist with a master's degree in political science, was taken into custody by government forces on Sunday, May 21st, 2023.
 

Informed sources have revealed that during the arrest, Mr. Omidi was subjected to severe physical assault by individuals occupying two white sedans associated with government institutions in Malkshahi.
