Father and Son been detained and forcibly disappeared in Mahabad

Ali Darvishi, a resident of Mahabad, and his son Mansour Darvishi have been apprehended and detained by the intelligence forces in Mahabad for an approximate period of forty days, and their current circumstances remain undisclosed.
 

Based on information obtained by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, Ali Darvishi, aged 52, and his son Mansour Darvishi, aged 30 and also the father of an infant of six months, after nearly forty days since their detention, are still being held isolated within the confines of a detention center.
 

According to a source familiar, Ali Darvishi was arrested at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 12th, 2023, at his own residence located in the Bagh-e Shaygan neighborhood of Mahabad, following a raid conducted by the intelligence forces. Subsequently, one hour later, Mansour Darvishi was also apprehended at his workplace in Mahabad by the intelligence forces.
 

The father and son in question have been detained in the Mahabad intelligence detention center for an extended duration of nearly forty days, during which no comprehensive details regarding their current status, the charges imposed upon them, or the allegations raised against them have been made available.
 

It is important to note that since their detention, Ali Darvishi and Mansour Darvishi have been deprived of their right to family visits and legal representation.
