The Iranian Intelligence in Sanandaj prohibited the birthday ceremony of Peyman Menbari

The Iranian Intelligence in Sanandaj has severely threatened the family of Peyman Menbari, a protestor who was killed during the protests, and prevented them from celebrating his birthday and surrounded their house.

According to a report received by Hangaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, July 1, 2023, coinciding with the birthday of Peyman Menbari, The Iranian Intelligence in Sanandaj prohibited celebrating his birthday at his grave in the Behesht Muhammadi cemetery in Sanandaj.

According to Hengaw’s source, the Iranian Intelligence in Sanandaj has deprived the family of this killed protestor to even hold a ceremony at their home and threatened them with arrest and other consequences.

Hengaw has been informed that a large number of Iranian government forces surrounded the family home of Peyman Menbari and prevented his family members from leaving home and did not allow anyone to enter their home either. 

Peyman Manbri was 25 years old and a resident of Sanandaj. He was killed by direct fire from the Iranian government forces on October 8, 2022, near the Mardukh Bridge in Sanandaj.
