A Kolber from Salas-e Babajani named Hemn Mahmudi suffered serious wounds from direct fire from the border regiment forces and was taken to a hospital in Tehran.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, On Tuesday, July 4, 2023, Hemn Mahmudi from the village of "Kani Rash" in the Salas-e Babajani was severely wounded by deliberate fire of border regiment forces at the Nowsud borders.
This Kolber sustained wounds to his eye as well as other parts of his body. He was transported to Tehran's Farabi Hospital due to his serious wounds.
Based on the data registered in the statistics and documentation Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, during the three months of the 2023 spring season, at least 44 Kolbers and traders were killed or injured on the borders of Kurdistan, 34 of whom, equivalent to 77%, were shot directly by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
