Heydar Niknia, a Kurdish resident from Urmia, has been detained by government forces after being summoned and appearing before the Intelligence division of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
 

As per a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, July 3rd, 2023, Heydar Niknia, who resides in the village of "Haki" in the Silvaneh district of Urmia, was apprehended subsequent to receiving a summons by the IRGC's Intelligence department in the village of Zivah in Urmia County.
 

Informed sources have indicated that Heydar Niknia has been accused by the IRGC's Intelligence of "collaborating with opposition Kurdish parties”.
 

It is important to note that following the arrest, this individual has been transferred to the detention facility of the IRGC's Intelligence division in Urmia.
