The ongoing series of arrests targeting Baloch minorities has taken a concerning turn with the detention of a 16-year-old minor, identified as Oveis Rigi, by government forces in Zahedan and subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location.
 

A report obtained by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights,  reveals that on Saturday, July 8th, 2023, the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) intelligence agency arrested Oveis Rigi, a Baloch child of 16 years of age.
 

According to an article published by the news outlet "Hal-Vash," which specializes in covering news from Balochistan, Oveis Rigi was apprehended by security forces as he exited a mosque, after which he was taken to an undisclosed location.
 

At this time, the exact reasons behind the minor's arrest and the specific charges brought against him remain unknown, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the case.
 

Based on documented statistics provided by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization's Center for Statistics and Documentation, it has been recorded that during June 2023, a minimum of 16 minors were detained by government forces across Iran. Among them, 9 individuals were of Baloch descent, while 6 were of Kurdish background.
