An elderly Kolber from Saqqez, named Hassan Tawfiqzadeh (also known as Hassan Iraqi), was fatally shot by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Bastam border of the city.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization For Human Rights, On the morning of Wednesday, July 26, 2023, Hassan Tawfiqzadeh, a 65-year-old Kolber from Saqqez, was killed by the direct fire of Iranian government forces stationed at the Bastam border strip, located in the "Sarshiv" section of the city.
According to reliable sources, Hassan Tawfiqzadeh's body has been transferred to the Medical Jurisprudence in Saqqez.
