Two Kurdish individuals from the city of Miandoab were detained by a group of government forces during a raid and were subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location. The identities of these individuals have been confirmed as Mamel Sharifi and Arsalan Khairi by Hengaw.
According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023, Mamel Sharifi and Arsalan Khairi, both married and residents of the village of "Bafravan" in the outskirts of Miandoab, were arrested by intelligence forces.
As per an informed source, Mamel Sharifi and Arsalan Khairi were detained at their residence by government forces without any legal authorization being presented.
Detailed information about the charges attributed to Mamel Sharifi and Arsalan Khairi, as well as their whereabouts and conditions post-detention, are not currently disclosed up until the time of compiling this report.
