Hengaw has learned that a young individual from Marivan named Kabir Mohammadi was detained by government forces about a month ago and is still in lingering uncertain status.
According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, Kabir Mohammadi, a 29-year-old construction worker from Marivan, has been detained by a number of intelligence forces for over a month and remains incommunicado.
According to a source close to Kabir Mohammadi's family, this young man, who recently got married, has only been able to inform his family about his detention in a brief phone call from the Sanandaj (Sine) Intelligence agency during the past month and is deprived of the right to access a lawyer.
The source added that Kabir Mohammadi's family has not had any visitation with him so far and is completely unaware of the reasons for his detention, allegations against him and his current state of custody.
Kabir Mohammadi, an electrician, was detained by intelligence forces at his workplace located in Marivan in late July 2023, and was subsequently transferred to the intelligence detention center in Sanandaj.
