Mahsa Basir Tavana, the sister of Mehran Basir Tavana, a young man who lost his life during the nationwide protests (Woman, Life, Freedom movement) has been apprehended by Iranian government forces in the city of Fuman, located within the Gilan province. Following her arrest Her whereabouts remain undisclosed.
 

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization For Human Rights, On Thursday, August 17, 2023, Mahsa Basir Tavana, a resident of Fuman and a member of the plaintiff's family, was arrested by Iranian government forces.
 

According to a reliable source, Mahsa Basir Tawana, a mother of two children, was arrested while she was leaving the hospital where her mother was receiving medical treatment.
 

It should be noted that the critical condition of Mahsa Basir Tavana's mother, who is currently hospitalized due to a stroke, is of great concern. The detention of her daughter could potentially exacerbate her health condition.
 

Mehran Basir Tavana, a 29-year-old young man hailing from Fuman city, a district within the Gilan province, tragically lost his life on November 16, 2022, amidst nationwide protests in the city of Someh Sara. He was struck in the chest by direct gunfire from Iranian government forces.
