Shahrouz Hosseinpouri, the brother of Azad Hosseinpouri, one of the victims of the 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' movement, was summoned by the Mahabad Intelligence Department. He was informed that all members of his family have been banned from leaving the country and must visit this security institution.
 

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Shahrouz Hosseinpouri, a member of Azad Hosseinpouri's plaintiff's family, was summoned to the Mahabd intelligence department on Sunday, July 16, 2023. He underwent several hours of interrogation during which he was officially informed of his family's travel ban by this institution.
 

Reliable sources have indicated that the Mahabad Intelligence Department has warned Shahrouz Hosseinpouri that he and all of his family members must visit this government institution within the next 48 hours. They are expected to hand over their passports and mobile phones.
 

Furthermore, Shahrouz Hosseinpouri has been subjected to a threat: any participation by his family members in the commemoration ceremonies of the victims of the protests or engagement in any activities on social media will result in their "physically removed" by the government forces.
 

Last month, on Thursday, July 16, Shirin Hosseinpouri, Fariba Hosseinpouri, Shima Hosseinpouri, Shahrouz Hosseinpouri, and their son-in-law, Rahman Esmaili, were summoned by the Mahabad Intelligence Department. They were interrogated for several hours.
 

Azad Hosseinpouri was a dentist who was tragically killed during the 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' movement, by Iranian government forces in Mahabad city on Thursday evening, November 7, 2022.
 

Additionally, the Statistics and Documents Center of the Human Rights Organization has recorded that over the past five months, at least 65 members of the plaintiff's families have been arrested by government forces in Iran. Dozens of others have been summoned, interrogated, or even threatened.
