Atefeh Rangriz, a writer, women's rights activist, and former political prisoner, has once again been arrested by Iranian government forces.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human rights, On Sunday, September 10, 2023, Atefeh Rangriz, a former political prisoner, was transferred to Semnan Prison after being arrested by Iranian government forces.
 

So far, there is no detailed information available regarding the reasons for the arrest and the charges against this women's rights activist.
 

Atefeh Rangriz was arrested on May 1, 2019, coinciding with International Labor Day, during a protest rally in front of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Parliament, along with several other activists.
 

Subsequently, Branch 28 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced Atefeh Rangriz to 11 years and six months of imprisonment, along with 74 lashes. Finally, this writer was granted amnesty and subsequently detained for five months and 25 days in Qarchak Prison, from which she was released on October 26, 2019.
