Karim Qubadi, environmental protection activist and Rahim Qubadi, Two brothers from the village of Darreh Tefi in Marivan district have been taken into custody by intelligence forces in Marivan.
According to the information obtained by the Hengaw organization for human rights, on the evening on Saturday, September 16th, 2023, intelligence forces in Marivan conducted a raid in “Darreh Tefi” village and arrested Rahim Qubadi 36-year and his brother Karim Qubadi 35-year old.
Reliable sources revealed to Hengaw that, Rahim Qubadi is an environmental activist and a member of “Green Mountain” NGO in Marivan. Both brothers were subjected to physical assault during the arrest.
As of the time of this reporting, precise details regarding their custodial status, whereabouts and charges brought against them remains undisclosed.
