Following the dismissals of teachers from educational institutions, Parisan Vouriani, the principal of the Sanandaj Fine Arts Academy, has been fired.

Following the dismissals of teachers from educational institutions, Parisan Vouriani, the principal of the Sanandaj Fine Arts Academy, has been fired.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Parisa Vouriani was dismissed for “supporting students against government forces last year”.
The disposition of this teacher has been taken place while the dismissing process of teachers who criticize and oppose securitizing educational centers throughout Iran continues; the wave started in the 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' movement, in which Iranian government forces stormed into schools to suppress protests of students.
Additionally, in the recent past, the Board of Violations of the Ministry of Education issued a compulsory retirement order by deducting two grades for Shilan Yousefi, the physics teacher at Saqez High School.
Also, Shiva Amelirad, a member of the Marivan Teachers Association, was fired from her workplace by the order of the Marivan Education Department after attending an international ceremony without the mandatory hijab.
Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Human Rights Organization, since the beginning of this year, in less than 9 months (264 days), at least 110 children and students, as well as 43 teachers, have been arrested by the security forces in various cities of Iran, and 17 teachers have been sentenced to imprisonment and whipping.
During this period, at least 47 teachers of the Ministry of Education were arrested in different cities of Iran; 26 of them were Kurdish teachers working in the cities of Kurdistan; six were women; and 41 were men.
