Aso Karimi from Bukan has been detained by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran for 19 days, and there is still no information regarding his custodial status.
According to reports received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, Aso Karimi, a 38-year-old from Bukan, was transferred to intelligence detention center in Urmia after being detained by intelligence forces, and there has been no information regarding his custodial status ever since.
Informed sources have revealed to Hengaw that the ongoing efforts of his family in recent weeks to obtain information about his custodial status have left no results, and government entities have refrained from providing any details on the matter.
Furthermore, the reasons for his detention and the allegations against Mr. Karimi remain unknown, and he has not had any contact with his family since.
Aso Karimi was arrested by security forces in Bukan on Thursday the 21st of September 2023, and was subsequently transferred to an intelligence detention centers in Urmia.
