Saqqez– Shaho Asadzadeh arrested for nearly a month with no information on his whereabouts

Shaho Asadzadeh, a 23-year-old Kurdish resident of Saqqez, has been held incommunicado for nearly a month following his arrest by Iranian security forces. 

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Asadzadeh was arrested 25 days ago in Saqqez and later transferred to a security detention center in Sanandaj (Sine).

The arrest took place on Monday, June 30, 2025, and since then, all attempts by the family to obtain information about his legal status, location of detention, or physical condition have been unsuccessful.

Iranian authorities have not provided any details regarding the charges against him or his right to legal representation.
