Amir Karimi, a Kolbar hailing from Sarvabad, who became the target of direct gunfire by border regiment forces in Marivan roughly two weeks ago, has been transferred to hospitals in Tehran due to his critical condition.
As reported by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Amir Karimi, a 40-year-old Kolbar from the village of Gushkhani in Sarvabad's central district, was relocated from medical facilities in Marivan to Sina Hospital in Tehran due to the depth and severity of his injuries sustained from government forces' gunfire.
This injured Kolbar has already undergone two surgeries on his elbow and continues to require further medical treatment.
On Saturday, October 7, 2023, while Amir Karimi was en route to transport goods for his livelihood near the village of Anjiran, situated in the border area of Marivan, he suffered a severe gunshot wound in his elbow when armed forces opened fire on a group of Kolbars.
It is important to note that Amir Karimi is married and the father of two children, a son and a daughter.
