Asad Hasanpour, a 25-year-old Kolbar from Saqqez, succumbed to severe injuries inflicted by gunfire from Border Regiment forces along the Hengazhall border line.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Asad Hasanpour, a resident of Jafarkhan village in the Saqqez district, was shot multiple times in the abdomen. He passed away at Salah Aldin Hospital in Baneh city on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
According to reliable sources, the regiment border forces directly opened fire on Mr. Hasanpour within a two-meter proximity.
Previous reports from Hengaw indicated that on the evening of Tuesday, November 21, Asad Hasanpour sustained injuries at the Baneh border. Subsequent information revealed his transfer to the hospital’s special care department due to the severity of his wounds, with his condition classified as critical.
The Statistics and Documentation Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights has documented the deaths of at least four Kolbars in the past 19 days, all resulting from direct gunfire by government forces. This increase in incidents occurred notably following Ibrahim Raisi’s visit to Baneh.
