Niloufar Sadat Hashemian, a resident of Semnan and a member of the Iran Bar Association, has been apprehended by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran for expressing criticism against the commemoration of Qassem Soleimani's death.

According to a report recently by  Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, January 6, 2024, Hashemian was arrested in Semnan by IRGC intelligence forces. The arrest was prompted by a post on her Instagram page that criticized the ceremony held in memory of Qassem Soleimani.

As of the time of reporting, there is no accurate information available regarding Hashemian's fate and whereabouts. 

It is noteworthy that in recent days, several other individuals have also been arrested by security forces under the charge of "insulting Qassem Soleimani" in connection with similar incidents.
