HENGAW — Iranian border guards killed one Kurdish porter and injured at least three others on the border between Iranian Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Region.

According to the information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the border guards opened fire at a group of porters early morning on Monday near Sardasht, Western Azerbaijan.

Reports from locals identified the killed porter as “Bryaji Ibrahimzadeh” from Gawalan village of Sardasht, whose brother “Nasr Ibrahimzadeh” was also killed last year by the Iranian forces.

The identity of the injured men remains unknown.
