At Least 27 Kurdish Porters Killed, Injured in Iran During July

HENGAW — At least 27 Kurdish Porters (better known as Kolber in Kurdish) were killed or injured during the month of June across the Iranian Kurdistan (Rijhalat).

Based on the figures collected by the data center of Hangaw Organization for Human Rights, the majority of the victims (92%) were killed or injured by direct gunfire by Iranian armed forces.

Among the victims, 7 people were killed and 20 others were injured.

Details are as follows:
Direct shootings: 6 killed and 19 injured (92%).
Natural incidents: 1 injured (4%).
Road accident: 1 injured (4%).

Locations:
Western Azerbaijan Province: 4 killed and 17 injured.
Kurdistan Province: 2 killed and 1 injured.
Kermanshah: 1 killed and 2 injured.
