Hengaw : At least four members of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) have been killed in an armed clash in the Sarvabad district of Kurdistan province.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, at around 3 pm on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, during a heavy-armed clash between the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps forces and the forces of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), at least 4 members of the PJAK were killed and their bodies were taken to Sarvabad by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces.
According to Hengaw sources, one of the female guerrillas who also was wounded and taken as a prisoner, and despite the severity of her injuries, she was transferred to the village of Surah Tu without receiving medical treatment and the rights of a prisoner in internal armed conflict was Maschine gunned by the Sarvabad IRGC commander.
This clash took place in the heights between the villages of Paygalan, Dezun, and Surah Tu.
According to Hengaw sources, at least nine IRGC personnel were also wounded in this clash.
It is worth mentioning that due to the aimless shelling of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps forces, a lot of damage has been done to the gardens and farms belonging to the residents of the area.
According to the latest news, another armed clash has taken place in the Sisera Pass between the villages of Diuznab and Surato.
While announcing and condemning the killing of prisoners and wounded, Hengaw Human Rights expresses its concern about the non-observance of segregation of population and targeting civilians due to the density of civilian population in the area and the use of heavy explosive weapons by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps forces.
For many years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has not considered itself bound by the observance of treaty and customary humanitarian law in internal armed conflicts. Under humanitarian law governing armed conflict, killing a prisoner, while disarmed and wounded, is a war crime.
