 Hengaw: A Kurdish citizen from Urmia who was arrested by Iranian security forces in late  2020 has been transferred to Urmia Central Prison after being interrogated.

 According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, January 14, 2020, a detained Kurdish identified as Anwar Chalashi citizen from the village of Lorzini in the Margawar region  of Urmia was transferred to the political ward of Urmia Central Prison.

 According to an informed source, Anwar Chalshi was transferred from Al-Mahdi Detention Center in Urmia to the quarantine ward of Urmia Prison on Friday last week after completion of  interrogation process.

 Anwar Chalshi was detained  on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, along with two other citizens identified as Kamel Jabarvand from the village of "Cherikabad" in Margawar region and Musa Alusi from the village of "Valandeh" in outskirts of Urmia, by the forces of the Hamzeh base of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps .

 Musa Alusi was released on bail in past few days and Kamel Jabarvand is still being held in the Al-Mahdi Detention Center of in Urmia .

 Security forces have accused these three Kurdish citizens of collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party.
