Hangaw: Hajar Pire, the Kurdish political prisoner transferred from the Krman prison to Tawriz has been placed in solidarity confinement.

According to reports received by Hangaw, an independent Kurdish website dedicated to raising awareness to the human rights abuses and violations of the Iranian Regime, Hajar Pire was transferred from Krman to Tawriz on Friday, 23 December, 2016.

The 33-year old Pire was incarcerated in Naghada Kurdistan where she was sentenced to 17-years in prison on charges related to assisting and being a member of a Kurdish opposition group to the regime.

Ms. Pire has spent the last 9-years in prison and is now transferred to solidarity confinement in Tabriz according to reports received from a source close to the Pire family.
