Hengaw: In recent days, Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) forces in villages around Oshnaviyeh district of West Azerbaijan (Urmia) province have set up mobile checkpoints to illegally interrogate Kurdish citizens in the region and  confiscate their mobile phones without any legal permission.

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, in recent days, Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) forces have set up mobile checkpoints on the roads to villages around Oshnaviyeh, including the villages of Singan and Sufian, inspecting  vehiclesAnd interrogating dozens of citizens.

An informed source in Oshnaviyeh has confirmed the news to Hengaw saying that “ IRGC forces had confiscated mobile phones belonging at least 17 citizens without any legal warrant or documents.”
