Saadollah Shafiei held incommunicado following arrest in Kamyaran

Saadollah Shafiei, a 47-year-old Kurdish man from Kamyaran, has been held incommunicado for eight days after being arrested when he reported to the local Intelligence Department following a summons. His whereabouts and condition remain unknown.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Shafiei was arrested on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, after reporting to the Intelligence Department in Kamyaran.
Informed sources said Intelligence Department forces had raided his family home on Monday, September 7, searched the premises, confiscated his mobile phone, and ordered him to report to the department two days later.
Despite repeated inquiries, his family has received no information about him since his arrest eight days ago.
Iranian authorities have not disclosed the reason for his arrest, any charges against him, his place of detention, or his current condition.
