Kurdish Kolbar Killed in Kurdistan Border Areas

Hengaw: Iranian border guards opened fire at a group of Kolbars in Baneh border areas, Kurdistan Province, and killed one.

According to the report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, October 3, 2020, Iranian border guards opened fire at a group of Kolbars in Baneh border regions and killed one of the men.

Hengaw reporter in Baneh identified the victim as Mehdi Zare’i, from Sardasht, West Azarbaijan Province.

Based on the statistics registered by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, during September 2020, at least 26 Kolbars and tradesmen were killed or injured in Kurdistan border areas. At least 81% of the victims were shot directly by Iranian and Turkish armed forces.
