Hengaw: During the last month, at least the arrest of 36 Kurdish citizens by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been recorded on charges of political and civil activities. These statistics have decreased by 7.5% (3 cases) compared to April. 
 
According to registered statistics at the Documentation Centre of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, in May 2022, at least 36 Kurdish citizens were arrested by the Iranian government's security agencies on charges of political, civil, and trade union activities.  
 
According to the report, 29 citizens have been arrested on charges of political activities and cooperation with Kurdish parties, and 7 citizens have been arrested on charges of civil and trade union activities. 
 
Last month, at least three female activists, one teenager, and also five teachers have been arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kurdistan. 
 
Most arrests have been recorded with 13 cases by the Intelligence service. Also, most of the detainees have been arrested in their homes with 13 cases by security forces. 
 
It is worth mentioning that ten of these 36 cases have been detained after being summoned to the branches of Judgement Enforcement in their cities and transferred to prison to serve their sentences.
