Three Turkish civil activists arrested by security forces in Karaj and Tabriz

Three Turkish civil activists—Sayad Mohammadian from Karaj and Vahid Abhari and Javid Nazmi from Tabriz—have been arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, November 25, 2024, Sayad Mohammadian, a Turkish civil activist, was arrested by security forces in Karaj.
Hengaw has learned that following his arrest, Mohammadian was transferred to Kachouei Prison to serve a six-month prison sentence previously issued by the Revolutionary Court of Karaj for “propaganda against the state.”
It is noteworthy that Mohammadian had been arrested earlier on May 16, 2024, in Karaj by security forces and was temporarily released from Karaj Central Prison on June 15, 2024, after posting bail.
Earlier, on Saturday, November 23, 2024, two other Turkish activists, Vahid Abhari and Javid Nazmi, were arrested by the Intelligence Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Tabriz.
Reports state that IRGC intelligence forces raided Abhari’s home the following day, thoroughly searching the premises and confiscating personal belongings.
