Dr. Kamal Jafari Yazdi, a political activist, former political prisoner, and member of the “Statement of 14” group, was arrested in Mashhad by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrest occurred on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, during a raid by intelligence agents at his residence. The agents reportedly used force, searched his home, and confiscated his mobile phone before taking him into custody.

Dr. Jafari Yazdi has previously faced arrests and convictions due to his political activities.
