Uncertainty surrounds two Kurdish men after arrest by Sanandaj Intelligence Department

Khalil Fakhri and his cousin, Rasul Fakhri, Kurdish residents of Baneh, have been arrested by the Intelligence Department for over three weeks and remain in a state of uncertainty. Khalil Fakhri is the brother of Saman Fakhri, who was executed yesterday in Jiroft Central Prison in Kerman Province.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Khalil Fakhri, 53, and Rasul Fakhri, 52, were arrested 23 days ago and remain in custody with no updates on their status.
Sources report that after their arrest in Baneh, the two men were transferred to the Intelligence Department’s detention center in Sanandaj, where they are still being held.
Khalil and Rasul Fakhri were arrested by agents of the Intelligence Department on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in Baneh.
