Sepehr Azami, a Kurdish citizen and follower of the Yarsani religion from Sahneh, Kermanshah province, who was seriously injured by direct fire from the Iranian government forces, passed away. 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, Sepehr Azami, a 24-year-old citizen from Sahneh and a resident of the "Chaharbagh" district of Karaj, who was previously injured by direct fire from the Iranian government forces and was admitted to the civil hospital in Karaj, passed away.

According to reliable sources, this citizen was shot by the Iranian government forces while participating in the funeral of Hadis Najafi, another victim of recent protests in Karaj.

According to the details of the obtained report, Sepehr Azami was shot in his left chest, close to his heart, by Iranian government forces.

The body of this citizen, who was killed by Iranian government forces, will be buried in "Behesht Ruqiyeh" in Chaharbagh, Karaj, on December 7, 2022.

Hengaw has learned that the Iranian government institutions have threatened the family of this Kurdish citizen in Karaj that if they share the news of their son's death with the media, they will prevent the funeral ceremony.
