Baloch men Sadegh Gorgij and Ahmad Harooni arrested in Sistan and Baluchestan, whereabouts unknown

Two Baluch men, Ahmad Harooni and Sadegh Gorgij, have been arrested by Iranian security forces in the cities of Iranshahr and Zahedan. Their whereabouts remain unknown.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Ahmad Harooni, a resident of Chah Jamal in Iranshahr, was arrested by military forces following clashes between the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and members of the armed group Jaish al-Adl in the area. He was detained outside his home without an arrest warrant or explanation of charges.
The Haalvsh news outlet reported that since his arrest, Harooni has had no contact with his family. Repeated attempts by his relatives to obtain information from judicial and security authorities have been unsuccessful.
Separately, on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, Sadegh Gorgij, a resident of Zahedan, was arrested in the Shiroabad neighborhood of the city. He was taken into custody while inside his private vehicle by plainclothes security forces, who presented no warrant and provided no explanation of charges, before transferring him to an undisclosed location.
