Elham Modaresi, a painter from Sanandaj, has been detained in Fardis Karaj for more than 40 days while suffering from illness, she is still in obeyance, and in addition to not having access to her case, she is facing serious security-related charges.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for human rights, on Wednesday, 2 November 2022, 32-year-old Elham Modaresi was arrested by the Iranian government forces at her home located in Fardis Karaj and then transferred to Kechoui prison in this city.

During her detention, she was deprived of the right to access a lawyer as well as her case, and regarding her health condition, she also suffered from liver and intestinal disease.

Elham Modaresi is facing accusations such as "damaging facilities", "disturbing public order and comfort", "inciting people to kill" and "propaganda against the regime".

According to an informed source, this citizen's request for access to the summons paper has also been opposed by the Iranian government institutions.

As the head of the household, Elham Modaresi took care of her sick brother and old mother, and now she also needs medical care.
