Reza Babrnezhad, a Kurdish citizen from Quchan and the brother of Mehdi Babrnezhad, one of the victims of the Jin, Jîyan, Azadî movement, has been apprehended by the intelligence forces of the IRGC using intimidation and force.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization For Human Rights, On Friday, August 11, 2023, Reza Babrnezhad, a Kurdish citizen hailing from Quchan, was apprehended by the intelligence forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
 

According to reliable sources, the intelligence forces of the IRGC conducted a raid on Reza Babrnezhad's family residence without judicial authorization. They forcibly entered the premises, shattered windows, and seized several of his personal possessions during the apprehension, subsequently carrying them away.
 

The apprehension of Reza Babrnezhad coincided with August 15, which marks the birthday of his late brother, Mehdi Babrnezhad. Currently, there is no available information regarding the charges levied against Reza Babrnezhad, nor any details concerning the location and circumstances of his detention.
 

Mehdi Babrnezhad, a 22-year-old Kurdish citizen from Quchan, was killed on September 21, 2022, by government forces during the city's widespread protests.
