Mohammad Yousefi, a 17-year-old boy from the city of Javanroud, was arrested nine days ago for expressing joy following the defeat of the Iranian national football team, and there is still no information regarding his whereabouts.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, Mohammad Yousefi, a minor from Javanroud, was apprehended by security forces in the city.
According to a reliable source, Mohammad Yousefi was taken into custody shortly after the football match between Iran and Qatar amidst a crowd of cheering spectators.
For the past nine days, there has been no update on the location or condition of this detained minor, and the efforts of his family to ascertain his well-being have been unsuccessful.
Hengaw has learned that several other minors were also arrested around the same time as Mohammad Yousefi, though their identities have yet to be confirmed.
