Iranian border guards shot and heavily wounded 3 Kurdish Kolbars

Three kolbars, individuals who transport goods across borders on foot, were injured by direct gunfire from border regiment forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Nowsud border, Kermanshah Province.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights on Thursday, April 25, 2024, three kolbars, including 34-year-old Taher Karimi from Paveh, whose identity has been confirmed, and two others whose identities are under investigation, were wounded by direct gunfire from Iranian border security forces at the Nowsud border.

Informed sources stated that these kolbars were shot with pellet weapons, sustaining injuries to their backs, hands, and thighs.
