Execution of Two Baloch Prisoners in Iranian Prisons

The execution of two Balochs, Saman Jerngideh from Fahraj County in Kerman Province and Hamed Shahbakhsh from Zahedan, Sistan and Balouchistan Province, was carried out at Bam Central Prison in Kerman Province.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions occurred in the early hours of Saturday, April 11, 2024.

Saman Jerngideh, a resident of Fahraj County, was previously arrested for drug trafficking, specifically the transportation of 400 kilograms of morphine. He was subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Similarly, Hamed Shahbakhsh from Zahedan, was arrested three years prior on charges related to drug offenses. He, too, faced the death penalty.

As of the time of compiling this news, the executions of these two individuals have not been officially announced in government media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
