Six prisoners, including a woman, executed in Yazd Central Prison

The death sentences of six prisoners, including a female inmate, were carried out at Yazd Central Prison. The executed individuals, identified as Atefeh Amini, Reza Akhiri, Ali Momeni, Bahram Seyed-Nasiri, Amirhossein Hassankhani, and Fakhraddin Raei.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions were carried out at dawn on Monday, July 21, 2025.
Atefeh Amini, 35, was from Yazd. Ali Momeni, 40, was an ethnic Lor from Borujerd in Lorestan Province. Fakhraddin Raei, 44, a Turk from Tabriz, was residing in Meybod. Amirhossein Hassankhani, 35, was a Gilak from Rasht. Reza Akhiri, 31, from Minab, and Bahram Seyed-Nasiri, 46, was from Bandar Abbas.
Sources informed Hengaw that Reza Akhiri and Ali Momeni had been imprisoned for three years, and Bahram Seyed-Nasiri for four years, on drug-related charges. Similarly, Fakhraddin Raei and Atefeh Amini had been incarcerated for five years, while Amirhossein Hassankhani had been imprisoned for four years before their executions were carried out.
State media, including judiciary-affiliated outlets, have not announced the executions.
