A Prior Kurdish Detainee of the Woman, Life, Freedom Movement Rearrested

A 20-year-old Kurdish individual identified as Khaled Mahmoudi, hailing from Ravansar, Kermanshah province (Kermashan), who had been detained during the "Woman, Life, Freedom (Jin, Jiyan, Azadi) movement, is once again arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Javanrud and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on May 17, 2024, Khaled Mahmoudi, a 20-year-old individual from the village of Hajjiabad-e Shanrash in Ravansar County and a resident of Javanrud, was arrested in Javanrud by plainclothes forces of the Intelligence Department without presenting any judicial warrant and taken to an unknown location.
Khaled Mahmoudi was previously arrested by security forces during the Woman, Life, Freedom movement on November 22, 2022, and was transferred to Dizel Abad Prison in Kermanshah. After being in detention for four months, he was temporarily released on bail on March 26, 2023.
It is noteworthy that this individual was deprived of his basic rights while in detention. He was accused of collaborating with Kurdish opposition parties and subjected to severe torture by security forces, resulting in forced confessions. These coerced confessions were subsequently broadcast on Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
