Two Kurdish Men Arrested by Iranian Security Forces in Piranshahr

Two Kurdish residents from Piranshahr, Salah Soltani and Amir Faqa, have been arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Iranian security forces apprehended Salah Soltani, a resident of Sarokani village in Piranshahr, and Amir Faqa, 40, from Khoranj village in the same city.

The arrests occurred in their homes, where security forces forcibly entered, using intimidation and without presenting any judicial warrant.

Following their arrest, Salah Soltani and Amir Faqa were taken to an undisclosed location. Currently, there is no precise information regarding their whereabouts or the charges against them.
